- February 6, 1985 - George Herman Ruth Jr. was born in Baltimore, Maryland.
- June 13, 1902 - Babe Ruth is St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys, an orphanage and reformatory where he was recorded as "incorrigible". Details about his parents at this time are unknown.
- Early 1914 - George Herman "Babe" Ruth Jr. joins the Minor League with the Baltimore Orioles.
- March 1915 - Babe Ruth reports to Hot Springs, Arkansas for his first ever MLB Spring Training.
- January 5, 1920 - Babe Ruth is purchased by the New York Yankees.
- September 30, 1927 - Babe Ruth is the first player to hit 60 home runs in one season.
- June 5, 1935 - Babe Ruth retires from the MLB with the career home run record of 714 home runs.
